I'm glad your doc is being assertive about this, and how sweet of him to pray with you! Looking forward to hearing how it went.

It's midnight and I'm still laying here wide awake thinking. BP has been pretty normal the whole time I've been here. Go figure. It's gone up a few times but nowhere close to how high it gets at home and my docs office. The nurse and DH say it's because I feel safe and not stressing about everything like I would be doing at home. Stupid pulse ox keeps going off every time I start dozing off. Apparently I start holding my breath when I start falling asleep. Good times. It's a pain in the rear unhooking and rebooking everything every hour to potty. Nurse said the MFM docs are in the hospital all day but just work patients in that come in without appt's so no telling what time I'll see him. DH took off of work tomorrow and is trying to sleep through the alarms, he just got off a 24 hour shift yesterday morning. Im so bored!! But the staff has been really nice so far so I can't complain. The doc ordered Demerol and phenergan for my headaches, but I'm nervous about taking it so I've just been laying here trying to deal with it. Tried Tylenol but that didn't work. I think I'm just rambling now, looking for someone to talk to. All in all everything looks good so far.

Glad to hear it's all pretty uneventful so far! Good luck getting some sleep, just being in a new place can make it tricky, not to mention being hooked up to beeping machines. Will be thinking about you, hope everything continues to go well.

I'd be nervous to take that medication too. It's hard to try to sleep in the hospital. Plus they always come around to interrupt you. Hope you come home soon!

I hope you were able to eventually get some sleep. Hopefully you will have some good news once the testing is done!

Poor thing, it's no fun being stuck in the hospital! Everyone knows you never sleep there, the nurses always checking your vitals every so often.
I wonder if the breath-holding while you're sleeping is something that is contributing to your high blood pressure? I know that sleep apnea can be hard on the cardiovascular system.
I hope you get to go home soon!

Just saw the MFM doctor. Avery is measuring 2 weeks behind and in the 14th percentile for growth. If it drops to 10 percent they take her. So I have to stay in the hospital until she's born for frequent monitoring. That just really isn't what I was expecting to hear. Everything except her growth looked great. Plenty of fluid, saw her practicing breathing on the BPP yesterday, very reactive and still bouncing around. He said if born now there would be about a 3 week NICU stay. The last 16 hours have taken forever. I can't even imagine how crazy I'm going to go now. Definitely sending DH to get entertainment.

Wow, they're going to admit you until she's born? Yikes that must make you feel really nervous. I know I would be too. I'm sorry you got such bad news! I'm glad Avery is doing ok, but ugh! You poor thing!
Was her growth behind on the last ultrasound or is this a new thing?

My goodness. That's a lot to go through. You're taking it well. I think I'd cry. If you teach yourself how to knit or crochet, you can have a baby blanket done by the time she's born...
Good luck!

While it is not the news you were hoping for, at least you are at the best place you can be at for your and your baby's health. I'll keep the two of you in my thoughts and prayers and hope that Avery will stay put for as long as possible! And, if Avery has to come early, I trust that your doctors and nurses will take good care of her.

My last us for growth was in December and she was perfect. Every belly measurement has been normal too. It just started over the last few weeks for her I suppose. I started getting symptoms last week. She will definitely be born early, it's just up to her on how early. Thanks for all of the kind words. And trust me. I've cried several times. I can tell people the whole story of my symptoms but every time I get to the part where I have to say she is small I get choked up.

Poor thing
I know I would be really upset by all this too. You just do the best you can to make it through in one piece and don't feel bad if you aren't as strong as you might like to be. I know I always try to be strong when crises happen and then at some point I fall apart. I'm glad your DH is with you today.
