Keep in mind that dating in the late stages is really inaccurate I can link to a bunch of articles about methods of dating gestational age, but accuracy declines rapidly once you're out of the first trimester. can you imagine if ALL 3/6/9/12 mo old babies were all exactly the same size?? there's a huge amount of variation.

Actually, I'll link to the articles anyway
http://cdn4.mission-health.org/sites...ary/1874_0.pdf
New charts for ultrasound dating o... [Ultrasound Obstet Gynecol. 2008] - PubMed - NCBI
http://www.tmj.ro/pdf/2009_number_2_...2141126395.pdf
(and there are more, but htese were the ones i had open just now)

(side note: thought this was interesting "Up to 92% of deliveries took place within 37-42 weeks of gestation if gestational age was derived from ultrasound data, compared with 87% based on a reliable last menstrual period. The earlier the ultrasound assessment [until 24 weeks] the more accurate the prediction of date of delivery.")

Being told you might have to stay in the hospital is not news any pregnant lady want to hear, but there's a good chance it won't work out that way. So long as your blood pressure is looking stable and Avery's vitals continue to be strong, I hope they'll send you home and tell you to stay in bed (maybe with an oxygen tank?). Still thinking about you, hope you got a little sleep!

I'm so sorry. I know it is terrifying and boring. I had a nice hospital stay before my son was born early. I can totally relate. ((((HUGS))))

So sorry to hear about Avery's growth. I know it must be scary, but you are in good hands. You guys will pull through this. Thinking about you.
