My baby shower is Sat. The weather report is expecting a winter storm with six inches of snow. I only have about 20-25 people coming, but I know the snow will keep a lot away.

Aww, that stinks. It is still early yet though so hopefully the weather forecast will change for you. We had snow on the day of my shower too. Nothing near 6 inches but enough to make roads a bit slushy and icy. Luckily, we still had a good turnout and everyone got to and from the shower safely. That is the most important thing.

Yes, let's hope for a weather change We had a huge winter storm on the Weds before my shower a couple of weeks ago. Luckily, the 2 days after and the shower day we had 60 degrees and sunshine. Maybe the weather will change for the better

ONLY 20-25 people?! That's more people than I could gather in any one particular city

It's still early, there's time for things to turn around. And even if it doesn't, people will still come, because apparently people LOVE babies.

Thanks guys, Denver weather people love to bring the drama for the weather. I am hoping it ends up just being flurries. The 20-25 people includes family and people's kids. My friends are putting a lot of work into shower so that is why I am worried.

I know it wouldn't be the same, but I hope you can maybe arrange another mini baby shower in coming weeks, to make up for the fact that this one didn't work out so well.

I am sorry. I know how it is to have your shower ruined. It sucks hard. Maybe something else can be worked out for later.

A few more people showed so it turned out better than expected. I got a lot of clothes which I really didn't need, but that's OK. Only four items were off my registries. Luckily I had read that this seems common at showers so I prepared myself. It was a Dr. Seuss shower and instead of cards people brought books, and I've think I only got one duplicate book. My am started in tears, but my day ended with a smile.

YEAH!!! We did books instead of cards also and ended up with about a gazillion book which makes me ecstatic. So glad you had a good time and I love a Dr. Seuss theme.

Aw that's great, I'm glad you were able to salvage it! Maybe you could exchange some of the clothes for things you do need? I've been doing that with a couple of things.
