37 weeks apt today (one day early)
I am 3 cm dilated and 75% effaced!
I know that doesn't mean baby will be here tomorrow or anything, but so excited my body is getting ready for baby!!!
Meanwhile I am going to start doing more squats and movements on the workout ball. Baby is head down but sill -3 station so not very low at all. Trying to get things ready.
Not forcing him out, but trying to get him in position so I can have a nice (as much as possible) labor. Doc offered to induce me on the 28th if I am still pregnant (39 weeks and 2 days), really dont want to be induced.. hoping he comes a little early so I am not tempted by the offer
How is everyone feeling?

You go girl!! It's getting closer for you

I would be walking my bum off starting tomorrow! Lol.

I get ya on the induction thing. Admittedly, as much as I hate the idea of an induction...it's fabulous to have an "end date" of this pregnancy. It has made planning so much easier. But, I too am hoping baby makes an appearance on her own and doesn't force me into one.

I have nothing to report. I am a good ways behind you, thus I am waiting, however patiently I can

Yay for progress! Even though it doesn't give you an idea of when baby will arrive, it's at least comforting to know that your body is getting ready.

Whoa!
Great progress.
Most hospitals began to admit patients at 4cm dilated!
That's awesome!!

I'm feeling anxious. Ill be 36 weeks tomorrow. So my excitement is creeping up on me and my urge for nesting is intense!
My only worry is how ill go through labor. I know my family would be there but my only wish was to have my baby's father around. I guess something's we can't control

How exciting! Is there a reason the doctor offered to induce you or is that just standard these days?

haha Doctors always offer to induce me when I get to 39 weeks.. the reason is is that I always have to go in A LOT when I am pregnant because my body dilates easy and I have had a baby at 35 weeks. Plus my labors are fast! First son was born 17 mins after getting to hospital.
so, once I get to 39 weeks I get the offer, I think they are trying to be nice.
haha I guess cause I come in so much, get my shots and all that and always have my 2 and 3 year old with me, really just think they feel bad. haha I only took the offer once... with my second son, I was on bedrest at 29 weeks from dilation.. still pregnant at 39 weeks and was walking around 4cm dilated and 100% effaced with him REALLY LOW for 2 weeks, plus my labors are fast and I live a 30-40 mins from hospital. I had him 3 hours after being induced.

haha people always say that but it was horrific.
It was my first child and I was only 35 weeks,
He didn't move at all when I was in labor.
I didnt even know if he would be alive when born
it was awful!
I had nothing hooked up to know if he was okay, didnt even know if he was head down.
I was pushing him out on the toilet at home and in the car, not fun!
haha

YES a lot at first..
BUT I was in denial, worried about baby and in shock.
It took away a lot of the pain believe it or not.
It was INSANE, haha
They didnt believe me when I told them I was having the baby (when I came in)
they were all acting calm...
then they looked down under and they started yelling "DONT PUSH" and everyone was running around like crazy.
There was like 10-15 people in there when I had him LOL
The craziest part was when we arrived to the hospital and I yelled at my hubby to get a wheelchair because when I started walking I could feel babies head coming out of me!

OMG your 1st birth story is crazy! I hope this baby takes their time a bit and at least allows you to get comfy in your hospital room lol. One of my aunts had my little cousin at her front door because she was waiting for my uncle to get back from target or something lol. Her sister had to deliver the baby.

Congrats on the progress Only 1 more cm until active labor! I'm only at a 2 but doc thinks I won't see 39 weeks.

Oh gosh!!!

What an experience!!!

It happens... Lol

At the hospital I worked at this patient gave birth to her son outside in the parking lot. Her boyfriend called our department and told us to rush down cause his girlfriend was in pain. We arrived down stairs with a wheelchair and blanket. Lol then there was a baby there and we sent for clippers, warm blankets, a baby bed and wrist bands. Haha we made the evening news with that patient.
