I went to the hospital and got all hooked up to the monitors. Nurse felt and said she thought baby felt head down. A little while later the dr. came in and did a sono. Baby boy flipped again and is now head down. My blood pressure was high so they made me stay a while and get a blood test and urine. All is good though so they sent me home. Back to my original plan, induction next Wednesday the 1st.

While we were there, the woman in the next room was in pretty hard core labor. It brought everything all back to me...lol. For all ypu ladies wanting to get things started the nurse told us they have a recipe for getting labor started at home. Ready? Ok, first you have to be dialated a little for this to work. You need to take an hour walk, drink red rasberry tea, have a lobster dinner and have wild sex. Im not making this up. This is what the nurse told us. All of which sound pretty good to me! Im going to try this the 2 nights before I get induced.

Haha! It can still be done though I guess. She said couples walk in all the time in labor and say they had just had sex too. I like the fact that I can eat lobster!

We DTD last night hoping to make some progress before my doc appointment on Thursday...needless to say I was up all night with contractions (Not BH) but they are about an hour apart.

Hahaha the notion of "wild sex" is hilarious to me. We're still quite active, but I wouldn't exactly call it wild ahahahha

BUT, who can pass up a lobster dinner?

Glad to hear your baby flipped, Jessica! I'm not sure that the recipe for labor sounds very appealing to me...an hour walk sounds really tiring at this point, I don't like lobster, and like Ashlee said, regular sex is hard enough, let alone wild sex!

That is great news that the baby flipped on it's own! Yeah!

Too funny about the recipe. I'm with Joy - walking is tiring, I don't like lobster, and what is sex these days?! Lol.

So glad baby flipped! He better not even think about doing it again! As for the recipe have fun "cooking" with DH. Lobster sounds awesome, I'm not big on walking right now although I did a mile yesterday, and as for the wild sex i'm wondering if that's just because orgasms release oxytocin and men's sperm helps thin the cervix. It worked for us with DD the membrane sweep a week before my due date didn't do squat..

She said the lobster has oxytocin. There is something in the sperm itself thats helps get the labor started.

Did you try the exercises and music? I wonder if me doing that helped baby to flip? My dr. was also going to send me to an acupunturist and told me told burn a Chinese herb by my pinky toe?? But I didnt need to do all that.

I've heard of that! It's called moxibustion. (The burning the herb by the toe thing.) My doula told me about it, and says that it can help breech babies turn. I think she said she used it with one of her daughters who was breech? I can't quite remember though. Weird! But if it works, great!

YUP! Thats the one Joy! I looked at her like she was crazy when she told me but apparently there are studies that prove it works.
