Yay! Now I can finally cross off a bunch of things on my "to pack in hospital bag" list. I still need to buy some more pajamas, but other than that, I think I have pretty much everything I need now! My mom also threw in some mac and cheese and Chips Ahoy cookies, woohoo! Lol.

Your mom sounds like a great lady! I'm glad that you can feel more prepared now. I finally started packing my hospital bag and while I only got about half way done, it feels good to have at least started.

She sent me Advil, lanolin cream, witch hazel pads, sanitary pads (I can buy those here, but I don't know which brands I'd like and I'm picky), and some receiving blankets. I have discovered that I can't fit everything into the bag I was planning to take, so I think I may be shopping for a diaper bag when I buy more PJs!

Awesome! We're taking two bags as well. One for me, and one for baby with the blankets and outfits.

Wow - that's so thoughtful of her! What was in it?

Oh, one thing you need...a stool softener like Colace. I don't know if you got that in your package or if you can get it in Japan?

Oh, I didn't mention it before, but my mom did send me some stool softener, too. So did my best friend, so hopefully I have plenty enough now lol. My friend sent me some chapstick, lanolin cream, travel-sized toothpaste and deodorant, pads, witch hazel pads, some face wipes (I think she mentioned that these were very handy to her during her hospital stay), Pepto Bismol, a "Pushing Playlist" CD (I haven't listened to it yet, but I'm very curious!), and a toothbrush. The toothbrush is sort of an inside joke because she used to get me a kind of wacky one every year for my birthday lol.

That is so nice of them! It must be so comforting to now have some items that you know you like. One less thing to worry about when it is time to go to the hospital how are you and DH making out in Japan? Are you home sick? Loving it? A bit of both?

We're doing pretty well. I was really homesick our first month here because we had no internet and I was hardly able to talk to my family, but I've felt much better since being able to connect to them via Skype, etc. It does feel different living here this time, though. Before, my husband was going to school here, so I was able to see him a lot more. With the commute he has for work now, he's gone for 11 hours of the day, which has been hard. We're also not especially impressed with the particular city we're living in, so we may try to transfer to another city once this year is up. Jeez, that all sounds so negative when I type it out like that lol. I may be extra cranky from the pregnancy hormones.

Haha, true. I don't have an active blog, but I actually started a YouTube vlog when we moved here before. I've been slowly getting back into making videos since we moved back. If you'd be interested in that, here's a link to my channel!
