I woke up at 1:00 am to pee and saw a small amount of blood tinged mucous in the toilet. Then my son woke up crying saying his ear hurt. About an hour later, I passed a major bloody mucous thingy in the toilet...is this bloody show?! I'm hyped up now!

I bet it is! It could look like mucous with blood in it or a dark giant clot. I had both this time and doc confirmed that's what it was. Hopefully it gets you going and doesn't just regenerate itself in the next few days (I read it could) Let the games begin mama!

Mom's over and settled in. Dc says small amount of bleeding ok...says to call when contractions are 5 min apart for an hour or when I can't take it...hubby is making me toast with pb and j as we speak and I'm throwing last minute things in my bag!

Checked in hospital at 7:20 am EST...4 cm and 80% effaced! Started in triage and just moved to labor/delivery room. In triage I got my IV in preparation for epidural. The nurse screwed up and said my vein was collapsed and then realized she wasn't even hitting a vein - she was in muscle. It was very painful and I cried. Then she switched to my other arm and it was fine.

I have found out I just barely qualified for the epidural, so I'm happy (I have low platelets)...just debating when to get it.

Contrax about 6 min apart, have not been checked since.
