This sweet beautiful angel of a child slept from 10pm-4am, played for a little while, went back to sleep around 530 and slept till 745. It was magical. Going to do the exact same routine we did last night again tonight and see if we can make a habit of this.

Wow!! Can I ask are you ladies breastfeeding? Do you pump or just a little full when baby wakes up?

Wow I am sooo jealous. The longest this little guy has slept was about 2 hours before waking up. I am just a bit of a zombie to put it mildly. I'm happy you are getting some good sleep though!

I'm breastfeeding. Sometimes when I wake up with her I'm leaking on one side from being so full so I just let her eat that side to empty. I have yet to have to pump at night, mostly because I was always struggling to keep my eyes open as it was and the thought of getting even less sleep to pump after I got her to sleep was just too much. Now I have woken up in the morning and fed her then pumped the excess. If we've been gone a lot during the day and she didn't nurse as much as usual then I will pump before bed so I don't start hurting.

What?? That's fantastic. I'm with Joy in the 2 hour boat. Sometime we get 3 hours on the first stretch.

Please please- what are your magical routines so I can steal them??

Well I don't know about magical. The couple of times Avery slept well we took a bath together and played in the water a little while. Then lotioned her up and put on pj's. Nursed in the rocking chair and she went out. Now I will say she only sleeps like that in my bed. When i try to put her by herself she wakes up in no time. Here's hoping it works again.

i am SO jealous! misha was an amazing sleeper his first two weeks home (4 hours, eat/diaper change, 3 more hours, eat/diaper change, 2 more hours) and, suddenly, this week he won't go more than about an hour and a half at night. he's also started up a whole concert of noises while he sleeps. he's also started eating a ton more in the last couple days, which is crazy exhausting combined with the lack of sleep.

Sounds like my guy, Rhea. Hour and a half all night long, punctuated by all kinds of grunts and squeaks and sounds.

Thats great!
I have to admit I have a pretty great night sleeper. My first was a terrible sleeper and I never got more than half an hour sleep if I tried to lay hom down. It was bruttle!! Roman has been waking up only twice a night from the beginning at 3-4 hour intervals. Last night he slept for 6 hours woke up and only wanted a diaper change then went back to sleep for another 2 1/2 hours. I had to pump bc he wouldnt stay awake to nurse when he woke. Not a problem ill complain about.

Misty, I'm jealous! However, yesterday Lexi slept from 5:30 pm until almost 11 pm...I actually woke her to feed bc I was concerned she had gone too long between feedings! That and the fact I was engorged. Then she went back to sleep until about 2 am, and then back to sleep until about 5:30 am...so not bad!

Last night I got 5.5 hours straight 8-1:30 AM and literally did a happy dance. It feels so good to sleep for that long without interruption!

The last thing I do before I go to bed is feed Caroline. She has slept most nights from 11 - 4 which is an eternity when you are sleep deprived. Last night, I fed her at 11 and she woke up at 4 and then not again until 7:45. I think that counts as only one wake up last night.
