I just wanted to share my experience because it was so so so lovely tonight.
First a little backstory, in our house, we have some water pressure issues that still need to be fixed. We can't take baths normally because by the time you fill up the tub the water is cold. So we shower, and Arthur gets sink baths or baths in his little plastic tub. He loves the water to be HOT (when he's bigger he'll easily be able to bathe in the tub because he obviously requires much less water)
I'm visiting my parents this weekend, and they have such a nice tub, so I decided to have a bath. Arthur was a little fussy (after eating and burping) so my mom just striped him down and brought him to me. We soaked in the bath tub for quite a while, and I can't tell you how good it felt! He was relaxed and LOVED 'floating' in the water, and I just soaked up all that skin to skin time. We both went to bed and slept soo good until his first feeding (which he's back asleep from immediately.. I just am taking the time to post this before I forget)
If you haven't had a bath with your baby I really recommend it! I'm so glad I got to give it a try tonight!
I bathe with Avery pretty regularly. I love it. Her best nights are when she nurses in the tub. It's a pretty amazing feeling. Doesn't even bother me when she pees on my leg in the water or I see her little baby gas bubbles float to the top. It's so relaxing for both of us.
I get a little nervous about dropping her sometimes when she's being extra wiggly. When she's like that though I just hold her so her back is against my belly so I have the extra support and she can still kick her legs and play.
