How is everyone doing with meals? Are you able to eat on time for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? Or are you finding you are skipping meals? What are you cooking or preparing these days?
I find my breakfast is later than usual - I usually eat it when Lexi goes down for her first am nap, which is anywhere from 10-10:30 am. But some days I eat earlier, like before she wakes for the day. Usually it's a bowl of cereal or an English muffin w/pb and j.
Lunch is hit or miss - sometimes I eat around 11:30 am or noon (before I pick my son up from camp), and other times it's after I have both kids settled in for afternoon naps (2:30 pm). Always a sandwhich and chips, maybe some fruit.
Dinner is always between 6-6:30 pm. We've been doing a lot or prepared food from Whole Foods. I manage to make dinner maybe two or three times a week. On the weekends we sometimes go to my parents for dinner. I usually make chicken.
Always starving. Nothing ever "on time" or when I am hungry. I manage to make something quick for my dd and that's all. I managed to freeze some meals so that helps, it usually thaws for hours bc one of the babies needs me. Dh is never home so he never eats here :/ and I have just decided I stop buying junk food bc otherwise they'll be my breakfast, lunch and dinner. I do eat lots of fruits though to keep me going (and chocolate, god bless whoever discovered it)
Babies finally napping now and I am pumping but I plan to go cook dinner right after. We'll see how that'll go...
I'm doing fine actually! I get up before everyone else because I need to pump - so I do that before DH gets up for work. After I pump, I usually just stay up and have breakfast and my tea.
I eat lunch when I get time, it's usually more snacking throughout the day than actual sitting down to have lunch.
So far, Lilah has been sleeping every time we have dinner....so that's just kind of worked out. MAKING dinner is another story - she's usually awake for that, so it's a juggling act. Sometimes she'll sit in the bouncer in the kitchen with me and happily look up at the light, haha, and other times I have to hold her a bit, then cook for a bit, etc.
I have been terrible about eating. Honestly, some days I don't know how I keep going - fumes, I guess. Between breastfeeding and working out, you'd think I'd be dying of hunger, but I am so preoccupied, it often never registers how hungry I am until it's too late. Trying to work on this. Not very healthy at all. And if I plan to lose my last 20 pounds, I need to be taking in more calories. I do, however, drink two cups of coffee a day. Starbucks has been my best friend lately.
I eat in a catch-as-catch-can fashion. Usually a bowl of cereal for breakfast, sandwich for lunch, and then sometime after Ethan goes to bed I make dinner. Or I might snack all evening for dinner. Last night I ate dinner at 10pm. But, it was a nice dinner. It's just I get interrupted in the middle of making anything I eat, usually.
I am trying to eat *** healthy as I can but mostly its just whatever we have in the house so I don't have to go to the shops! I generally have cereal for breakfast after first morning feed and sandwich for lunch during his daytime nap. We have been really lucky with evenings so far and have developed quite a nice routine with him. We always bath him at 6 and then I feed him and put him down for the night. This process is generally done by 7 and he is asleep. I can then make supper and we can eat it uninterrupted and actually get to spend some time together. Doesn't last long though because I am so tired I generally go to bed around 8!
Eating is getting easier with Avery. We typically get up around 7 and she eats and sleeps about another hour so I eat oatmeal after she goes back out. She goes down for her morning nap between 10 and 1030 and will sleep about 2 hours so I eat lunch then. She isn't as good about taking her afternoon nap though so after lunch I'm usually just grazing or eating leftovers if we have some. DH works 24 hour shifts so he's only gone 2 days a week which helps a lot. One of us cooks every day he's off and if I'm tied up with Avery he'll make my meals and bring them to me so I can still eat. Also the weeks we have his daughter he's good about feeding her too.
