My son loves to be held. In fact, he seems to be crying to be held. We tried letting him cry a bit while on his floor mat. He screamed so I just had to pick him up. Any suggestions as to how to break this habit? He can not fall asleep alone either. Always has to be held to go down. Two habits I desperately would like to break
I don't know if either of your LO likes tummy time but when Peyton wants to be held constantly, we put her down on her tummy with her Paci and she hangs out there for a while. It is kind of like being held, since she is up again the blanket on her tummy and seems to be less traumatic to her than laying her down on her back. Of course at night, I hold her until she is passed out because I am just too scared to put her to sleep on her tummy.
Tiago loves his belly but to play only for a few minutes. He sleeps wonders on his belly but I am not comfortable to let his sleep at night that way. In fact the way he sleeps on us is his belly against our belly. He fights his sleep so much. But, he is asleep now...for how long...who knows but it is a start!!! ♥
