Lilah has stopped her evening scream fest, which I am THANKFUL for. However, she's still up twice a night, and up EARLY. Last night she was up at 1am, then 4:30am, and didn't go back to sleep until 5:45am, and then woke up for the day at 6:30am. I am SO freaking tired. I wish she'd just cut out one of those feeds.

My LO is exactly the same. Also up for two feeds a night. Generally up around 12 and then 4 30 again and then he is up for the day at 6. I am also desperate for him to drop one of those feeds but trying to be patient with him. Hoping the 3 month mark brings some changes!
The most frustrating thing is my mother in law has come to stay for a week to help with the baby. She slept all afternoon yesterday and when my husband asked her if she wanted to take the baby this morning so I could sleep in a bit she said no thanks she thought she would get some more sleep and slept until 8 30! Shame those uninterrupted nights sleep must be so hard for her!

Glad I'm not alone!
Sounds like something my MIL would do too!

So I don't know if this is purely coincidental, but for the past week we've been giving Claire 2 oz of chamomile tea in her last bottle of the night (I brewed a big batch all at once last weekend, and just kept it in the fridge). Since we started, she's been sleeping from 9:30 to 6 every night, I kid you not. We feed her at 6, and she'll go back down till 8:30.

Again, could be the placebo effect, but I'll go with it!

My friend used to give her little guy chamomile tea, can't remember why. Did you start doing it to help her sleep?

Is it safe to give a baby that?

I ran it by her doc, who was fine with it.

I didn't give it specifically to make her sleep...it was more to soothe her tummy since we've been transitioning to formula. It's helped there, too. She's a lot less gassy since we started giving it.

I would always run it by your ped, of course. I think a lot of gripe water brands use chamomile in their ingredients, along with fennel.

Yes, gripe water definitely smells like fennel!
