I just came across this on Pinterest and thought of you. I'm sure you don't have much time to crochet anymore, but they would be such a cute shower present for a girl. Wish I knew someone here that could do it.

Aren't they?!?! I would definitely pay someone to make them. I absolutely love them.

Darling! However, I think it might be Portuguese! lol.
I think I could make a pair of those pretty quickly. I am finishing a sweater for TeeCee/Nasha right now, and I want to get that done first, but I can message you when I'm free, would that be ok? Unless you find someone else first!

Jessica---it depends on the cost of the materials and how labor-intensive the sweaters are! What did you have in mind?

Bahahaha I don't even know that I've seen Portugese before. How hard was it when you learned how to do all this? I'm wondering if it's something I could maybe try to make for her myself that she could keep and pass on to her own daughter someday. I'm not very crafty though so not sure how that would come out. Definitely PM me when you are free and we can talk.

IDK?? When you are done with the one you are working on for TeeCee can you post a pic ? The one you made for Cody was really cute too...I think it was a lighter colored sweater.

Haha, that's good! Hmm now I might be interested. Someone mentioned a sweater you made for Cody, can I see it?

As for how hard it was to learn, I think it's not too bad, crocheting seems a little simpler than knitting (and those little shoes are crocheted). It can be tedious, and it's helpful if you have someone who knows what they're doing to help you if you get stuck and can't figure out what to do next. There are lots of books that you can get to teach you though, and I'm sure a TON of YouTube tutorials too, so I think it would be doable! You might try something simple like crocheting a washcloth or something with just straight rows to start with. Then once you master that, move on to something that has shaping like the shoes do.

OK so here are the two sweaters I knitted for Kody:

So for the green sweater, I'd probably end up charging close to $80 or $100 for it, I know that sounds like a lot!

Anyway...just to give a ballpark figure for you ladies!

Joy, I'd be interested in those shoes, too, but not until late fall. Let me know how much you would charge.
