I got my first period when Tiagi was 7 weeks. I was soley breast feeding then. He is now 3 months and I have not gotten one since. I have been on themini pill since he was 6 weeks. I am still breast feeding as often as he will take but when he does not eat, I do supplement him with formula. Should I be concerned fir not having gotten my period again? Or did I just get it bexause of the pills? I want to belueve breast feeding is keeping it away but as any woman...I get slightly nervous when it does not show up. Lol
I wouldn't worry. If you aren't having any pg symptoms then it's unlikely. You can always take a cheapie test to find out for sure. I take one every month just to check. I've been taking the fenugreek and lots of caffeine so I don't want something to surprise me and I hurt it before I know about it.
Based on the timing (with the BC), I doubt it was a "real" period and was instead a hormonal one from going on the mini-pill. It would be nearly impossible to be pregnant based on those circumstances. Because even if you did have a real period at 7 weeks, your BC would have prevented ovulation at 9 weeks (since you had 3 weeks worth of pills in your system). Sounds like breastfeeding is keeping it away, which is totally normal at this stage. You could pee on a stick if you really wanted to, it would show by now. But I am thinking it was the body's adjustment to the pills.
I am not on any hormonal birth control at the moment, and we exclusively breastfeed. I had dark, heavy spotting at 2mo PP, and now at 3 mo PP I have a heavy regular period. Everyone is different, and when you start adding hormonal bc into the mix that can really screw with everything as well. I wouldn't worry about it, your body is likely just adjusting.
I stopped pumping 5 weeks ago, and still haven't gotten a period. I expect to get it soon, though, because I had some major EWCM about 9 days ago and I'm pretty sure I must have ovulated. Crazy to think that I could get pregnant again right now, most likely.
I should really make DH start sleeping in another bedroom, just in case. Ha!
I got my first pp period last week. It was SO HEAVY and lasted forever (if forever means 5-6 days). BUT! Almost no cramping, so, awesome. I have a copper IUD. But anyway, I doubt it means anything since you're on the minipill.
