Tomorrow morning we're leaving for our first overnight trip out of town. We'll be staying in Hiroshima for two nights. It takes about an hour by train to get there. I'm nervous! I'm mostly nervous about the nursing situation and keeping Kaeldra happy while we're traveling. We'll be taking her in the Ergo, so hopefully she'll stay pretty calm in there.
Thanks, guys! We're back! Most of the trip went smoothly. We got lost our second day and ended up walking WAY more than we meant to, so Kaeldra ended up getting super fussy for a while, which was stressful. My husband is usually really good with directions (and I'm not, so I just follow, haha), but the maps we had were really bad. :/ Today was definitely the best part of the trip, and Kaeldra was pretty good most of the day. People kept stopping to look at her and talk to her. I'll post a couple pictures.
I almost forgot to mention...the first night we were there, I nursed Kaeldra and put her down to sleep at 10 p.m., expecting her to be up again after that, but she must have been totally wiped out because she stayed asleep...and I had to wake her up at 8:45 a.m.! I couldn't believe it! This is the same baby that never goes to sleep before 2 a.m. She went to sleep at midnight the next night and slept until about 7:30 a.m. I hope this means she'll start letting me put her down before 2 a.m. at home! Too bad my body is so used to staying up late...I wasn't able to fall asleep until very late that first night (the uncomfortable bed didn't help...it was seriously the most uncomfortable hotel bed I've ever encountered).
