So I'm not sure exactly what it is, but Kody is waking up almost every hour all night long. I get one or two 2-hour stretches, and the rest is every hour. I thought it was bad before, this is awful! If this is the 4 month sleep regression, someone please tell me it ends soon!

I'm so sorry! That is a lot of waking. I could barely handle it for the 3 days he was sick. I am sorry I don't have any advice. Are you still exclusively breast feeding? Have you tried pumping and giving a bottle so he gets more in one feeding and maybe holds him over longer? How are his naps?

Hang in there.

Joy, you win on sleep deprivation. Unfortunately. I have no advice. Have you considered formula? Maybe it will help him go longer?

I was going to suggest pumping and giving him a bottle, or formula, as well. I have no idea. I'd be crying.

Lola you are??? OMG I'm sorry. I'm wondering if some of this is due to the medication he's on, Prevacid, it does sometimes have the side effect of insomnia. But we've been on it a month with no problems. The other thing I'm thinking is that his reflux has been flaring up. So perhaps he's battling acid in the night. I have no idea!

AHA so it looks like it was the Prevacid, after all. I dropped his evening dose of it (he takes it morning and night), and he slept like he normally does last night, with more like 4 or 5 wakeups instead of waking almost every hour. Whew I feel so much better today!

Anna just went through that! She was waking a good 6-7 times a night. Awful! She had 3 nights then were she only woke once or twice but last night was another rough one with 4 wakings. Sometimes I wonder if this will ever end!!

We're still going strong at 3-4 wake ups every night. It's basically every 3 hours.

So glad I am not alone. My son's sleep has been off for about two weeks now.I am sitting here practically in tears. I am so so tired, but my son won't sleep. He was up at 11:55 then again from 1-2 and then up at 4:30 and stayed awake until 5:30 and then back up at 6. I have always loved sleep and miss getting 8 hours. My husband doesn't help in the middle of the night because he works in special events in the beer business so he often works 16 plus hours in his busy season and since he is driving a company vehicle it is important for him to be rested. I had a good two weeks of 5-7 hours of sleep, but apparently that is over now.

Well, I only had 2 nights of good sleep and that was it...he's back to waking almost every hour again. Oh well I guess I should just get used to it!
