So we weren't going to take Ethan trick or treating this year, because Josh wasn't going to be home and I didn't want to handle 2 kids by myself. Well this morning he called me and said he will be able to be home just in time to go. So I had to run out to the store to find a costume. I went to JoAnn's, because I thought they had costumes there, and if not, I could get stuff to make something.
First Ethan was saying he wanted to be an excavator for Halloween. I was not sure how in the world I was going to do that. Then he said he wanted to be a flag. I thought about that and decided I could do a patriot costume. I couldn't find a pattern for a kid's costume like that, so I just made it up as I went along. Got the fabric and buttons, etc, and here is what the end result was about 6 hours later:
