It's been so long that I thought I'd drop by to see how you and your munchkins are doing. Quinn is doing great! She crawls; walk with her walker; claps; says mama, dada and moos like a cow when I ask her what a cow says she babbles all day to her teachers delight and loves watching our dogs play. We're so in love with her and our new life that we're thinking about #2! Scary, yet very exciting I must say!
Quick question for bottle feeding moms: when do u all plan on weaning from the bottle? I plan on having her drink from a cup by the time she's 1 which is exactly 2 months from now. If you have already weaned them, how long was the process and did your child resist?
Aww what a cutie! Nice of you to stop by! Glad to hear your little lady is doing well!
For bottle to sippy, I used Avent, they have a nice soft sippy cup top that helps baby transition. Or there are plenty of other sippies with a soft tip that help baby get going on them. Just take it at her pace!
She's is beautiful!
As far as bottle to cups go, we started cutting down bottles at 9 mos. he's down to 3 a day. We went straight to straw cups because he didn't like sippy's so he uses one at all meals to get use to it (just wAter & sometimes a little juice). As per my MIL, I'm thinking of keeping the bedtime bottle until 18mos. But cutting out the rest as we trans to milk at one.
Quinn is a little cutie pie! Glad to hear things are going so well. We have that same walker in the picture! I have heard it's actually better to eliminate the nighttime bottle earlier or they will have a harder time later. We went cold turkey to the sippy cup at age 1 with regular milk with my son. My son knew how to use a sippy cup with water at meals. I just started putting milk in it. There was a period of 2-3 weeks where he drank way less milk and I ended up mixing milk and plain yogurt to entice him, but eventually he started drinking plain milk from the sippy.
Thanks ladies! She currently takes some water in a sippy but it always takes a while for her to remember to tilt her head back I think I'm just sad that she's growing up so fast and no longer needing a bottle!
