We are enrolling Wyatt in a baby swim class that teaches babies to roll over on their backs and float when they are in water. Living in SoCal, just about everyone has a pool, and it's just a precautionary thing. Of course I will always be watching him around water, but you never know when they are with friends, family, babysitters, ect.

Has anyone else seen this method, or considered it? It's pretty cool!

^^I totally have, actually. My parents have a pool and it scares me so much. We have the older boys in swimming lessons, but have considered doing life saving training for the baby. But around here, you can't find anyone to do those type. I guess because pools aren't as common here. But I'd love to do them. It's really amazing to watch.

I saw this on Facebook when a friend posted it. Even though I know they baby is fine, I have a heart attack watching it! It really is an amazing video and I think that it's a fantastic idea to do the lessons. No one in my family has a pool, and there are no bodies of water any where near our house. However that is not a reason for me to not teach my son this. We are considering joing our town swimming club, mostly for my older son so he can hang out with his friends. I know the lifeguard there, maybe I will speak with her and see if she is familiar with it and will work with us on it. This is a great post with sping and summer right around the corner, thank you!

Awesome! I need to look into this for Grady! We are going to Belize in April and it would be nice for peace of mind!
