I'm new to JM, my name is Sophie and I will soon have three little girls! I lOVE LOVE LOVE having girls and am thankful every day for them. However I often encounter downright rudeness when people find out I have all girls. Shortly after we found out Dallas Brielle was going to be a girl I went shopping for baby girl clothes and when I was waiting in line to pay this woman in line behind me asked me if I was having a girl as she noticed the pink cand purple clothes so I was like yeah, my third and when I said that she gave me this pitying look and actually said to me better luck next time in a nasty way. I wasn't surprised though. A lot of ppl have made comments like this. I would love a little boy one day but I love my girls and I love having girls so stfu ppl who think I need a boy to be happy! argh its so annoying. I am not going to make apologies to ppl I dont know for having girls.
well first of all! welcome to MOGs.... We love girls here!! and I think its great you will have 3 beautiful girlies! I have two of them! Im jessica, 25, My two girls are Caidance (4yrs old) and Ember (just turned 1yr yesterday.) and dont feel too bad though, I have a friend with 3 boys and she gets the same response. anyways welcome to the board! jump in and have fun!
Welcome, Sophie - we're glad to have you here! And CONGRATS on girl #3 on the way! That's one of my biggest pet peeves too, people who think we "need" a boy since we have two girls already. Truth be told, if I had a third, I'd be praying for another girl...same with a fourth, a fifth, a sixth. I'm just not a boy mama! And wait till Talia (with her FOUR girls) gets here! I'm sure she's heard it before too...
Anyway, try to ignore them - girls are awesome. Looking forward to getting to know you!
LOL!!!!! I blogged about it, remember Kristin!!! People think my family isn't complete until I have a boy. Everyone always turns to dh and says "oh you poor man" or some other stupid comment. He loves his girls. I love my girls. And we're trying to have another and everyone always says "oh you are trying for a boy" and I tell them Nope. I'll take whatever I get, but secretly I want another girl. I finally got some looks back when I tell them how I don't want an obnoxious boy like theirs. LOL!!!
Anyway I'm Talia and yes, I have FOUR girls!!! Welcome to our board!! Can't wait to get to know you!
Welcome to MoGs! And congrats on your 3rd princess! People can be so rude! All that matters is that you and your family are happy! Welcome and congrats!
Hey girl mommies, thanks for the amazing comments!
I'd sort of lurked on the site when I was pregnant with my second baby girl Hollis but I never joined the site, just kind of browsed the baby names forum etc but never stuck around. Since Dallas is nearly here I am just lazing around the house surfing the world wide web when the girls are napping lol. This has been the worst pregnancy of the three. I had morning sickness really badly right up till only a few weeks ago but I had none with Ashby and only a few weeks worth with Hollis. I am so excited for her to be born. Ashby and Hollis are both blonde like me but my mother had red hair and I really want a little redhead lol. Anyway I can't wait to meet her. Ashby is 2 now so understands she is getting another sister and is excited this time round, she didn't know what was going on when I had Hollis lol. Hollis is like Ashby was when I had her - no clue lol. My bf had been told how tough it is he will have girls aswell and not a boy. We would like a boy but it is not a priority. Health is all that matters to us as Hollis was born with her cord wrapped round her neck and her birth was very dramatic! She was almost starved of oxygen and could have been severley disabled so we just feel happy with what we are given lol. Nice to meet all of you - your girls look so gorgeous in the pictures. I'm going to make a siggy like that once Dallas is born so I can include her in it. I have been getting advice on how to do it off the siggy forum. I'm excited to make it lol
Nothing wrong with all girls. My parents had 3 girls. I wanted all girls but ended up with 1 girl, 2 boys. Maybe someday will have another little girl....

Thank you KimberlyD0 for my absolutely beautiful siggy!
I am gracie, mommy to Avelina, and Caliah. I had my tubes tied back in April a month after Avi was born...(this year) and my mom was so upset that i was 'giving up' so quickly...***?!
first of all, i have pre-term labor...and second of all...2 is more than plenty for me! Financially, and mentally! lol...I always just only wanted two kids...and i have two girls, and honestly i couldn't be any happier! if i had a boy...(even hugo agreed!!) i wouldn't know what to do with him!! lol...dh isn't your typical macho man...and he's at ease with the girls...so we are like...what would we do with a poor boy? he'll just have to play with dolls, and play tea! lol...
but ya, people are outright rude...and it isn't any of their business! so F them.
welcome!!! can't wait to see pics of your little darlings!!! and i love dallas' name!
Congrats on your pregnancy. I got that this pregnancy. I just had my second girl. Everyone said things like, "Another girl!? and oh I wanted a boy" etc. I'm happy with a girl.
Hi to all the ladies who replied since my last post. All your daughters are so gorgeous in the signatures and the little boys in there too lol. Thanks for the compliment on Dallas' name. My mother begged me to reconsider on all their names lol. She reckoned they were fad names and she nearly passed out when we told her Hollis' name as she knew someone once with the surnames Hollis so she thought it was crazy to call a kid a surname . . . this coming from the woman who named her dog Jackson. Like I said, crazy lol. Me and my bf would like 5 or 6 kids. He comes from a big family whereas I am an only child and he wants a big family like he grew up in and I want my children to have siblings as it is something I feel I missed out on. I'm especially jealous of women who have sisters. It seems like such a good support to have. My mom loves her granddaughters but my MIL is less impressed with my family it would seem, check out the trying to conceive large families board for more info on that. When she found out we were having another girl she actually cringed and said in a fake concerned voice if we were ok with that. Er yeah obviously we are ok with it since we invited you out for a dinner to tell you and celebrate the fact. Gah she is so irritating lol! Anyways other than that we are just excited for the holidays. I have never been heavily pregnant for Christmas before since my other girls are summer babies so I hope I have the energy lol.
By the way Heide I'm so jealous you have twins! I always wanted twins lol. Maybe next time . . . ha ha
Welcome to MoG! I know how you feel about not having enough energy for Christmas this year! I will be having our second girl (Samantha Grace) om Jan 28th. Dh wanted a boy but he's happy just to have another baby. Fil is all upset because of the 'family name being carried on' deal. PFFFT to him!
Anyway, Congrats on your 3rd girl and welcome to the board!
Hi! I'm Colleen, a mom to 2 daughters and 1 son. So my Dh is outnumbered in our house too!!! Welcome! And dont listen to people's crappy comments. Someone's always got something stupid to say about anything....big families, breastfeeding, etc
