I wish I could tell you something...I was in so much pain by the time I went into the ER the night before that they kept me on morphine until time for the surgery the next day. All I remember is lying on the gurney waiting to go into the OR and panicking because I knew I had a 3-week-old baby out in the waiting room.

Thank goodness a good friend's mom worked in the OR and helped calm me down.
So all I remember is going into the OR and getting the mask on my face...they told me to start counting backward from 10 and I don't remember 7.

After that, I woke up back in my own room - a little groggy, but it wore off fast. They kept me on pain meds while I was in the hospital, then sent me home with something...it was either Tylenol w/codeine or Darvocet (I had both, can't remember which was from R's birth and which was from surgery.) Anyway, once I was home, I never needed it.
Mine was laparoscopic, so I had several small incisions - four, I think. The biggest was in my bellybutton, which was packed with gauze and that was just WEIRD.

But they never hurt much and healed up fairly quickly. They did leave scars, though...
That's it. Hope yours is quick and uneventful!
