Before & After

I know I have posted pics on here of Jasper. He is a cat we rescued, who we believe is a Maine Coon breed. Well, Main Coons have VERY thick and long fur. Jasper HATES to be brushed, so we had to take drastic measures because he was uncomfortable and starting to smell due to such severe mats.

Holy moly that is one drastic before and after!! Hes sooooo cute though

I LOVE Maine Coons!! Eventually if I ever have a cat again, I want a girl Maine Coon and name her Ophelia...

He is such a loving cat. We raised him from the time he was one day old. He was abadoned with his 3 siblings. He only knows DH & I as dad and mom and he gives kisses and cuddles soooooo much. You would think he is part human.

Due to the fact that we hand raised them, we knew were were going to keep one, even though we didn't need anymore animals. Unfortunately, we lost 2 of the 4 we raised. We think they were killed when we transitioned them to wet food (it was during the time of the massisve pet food recall). The surviving sister (a calico) is with a former co-worker of DH and is apparently mean as h*ll. Most Calicos that I know of are mean....I guess it is in their genes.

Yep... that's definitely a Maine Coon! It's in them to be super loving! How does he like his new haircut?

Awwww i love him with his long hair...but he needed it so i guess its better. He is soooooooooo cute!

He has actually been more lovey dovey today than he usually is. I think he feels better because he has been walking around more than usual. He doesn't have all that weight on him and he is cooler.
