Money was already crazy tight because Gene lost all of his overtime at the beginning of the year...but as of this afternoon, he has NO time. They closed *half* of the sawmill where he works, and of course, it was his half that they shut down. They told him that the layoff is "indefinite" - they may go back to work next week, it may be a month or two. Gene said he would be shocked if it was less than three weeks.
Yeah, the babysitting isn't helping me much. She barely pays enough to cover gas running back and forth to pick Sophie up from school, and it doesn't help my current through-the-roof stress level either.
I would LOVE to digi scrap for people, but no one has extra money for things like that right now. Maybe custom Christmas cards/invitations. I've been meaning to post on Facebook about that anyway.
Im so sorry Kristin! what terrible news to get, I know how scary it can be to not know where the money will be coming from, I hope things get better and he finds something soon!
I am so sorry Kristin. I dont know your personal situation, but if you need to, go down to Social Services and fill out EVERY TYPE of help you can apply for. Its families like you that its there for, who are great people, but just down in a hard time. I would also deffinitly set up a digi store as well!!
