Oh wow! When is her birthday?
I've been marinating meat to do Kabobs (sp?!) for dinner tonight. I made my own recipe so I hope they turn out good. We'll see though. I keep smelling my hands as they smell so good because of the marinade got on them and it's strong and so stays on the hands.  I think I'm hungry

Her birthday is July 1st!
Amber, this must be your favourite month of the year!
So tired. We had some friends stop in last night, and they didn't leave until almost 2am! It was fun to see them, but man, I'm paying for it this morning. On the upside, Sophia didn't wake up in the night last night!

Oh wow, Sophia's birthday is right around the corner!! What's the plan? theme?
I love June..it's bittersweet this class was pretty good and what's coming to me is UGH! Let's just say I want to enjoy every bit of my summer.. but I love my summers with my OWN kids but seeing a year come to a end is sad but the year is so tiring!

its so different for us. our school year is Jan to Dec. totally different, lol.
so ghlad Saturday is over...i cannot wait till the day i no longer work weekends.

We went to a wedding this morning. Kynslee looked so cute all dressed up. Well, I think she's cute all the time so maybe I'm a little biased

Amber, it is sorta year round. but we have around a 3 week break in April, a month break in June, 2 week break in October. and then the year ends early Dec. a school year starts mid Jan.
so they have a long break in December.

Hmm interesting. I don't think I'd mind that much.. do the pre-k programs like programs Kyla's age run the same way then?
What are the hours for school there? Like start/stop time for a typical day?

Amber, for preschool they have an option for full year or terms only. but because of work Kyla goes full year.
for preschool you can either do half day or full day. and usually they are open from 6 30am till 6pm. but kyla goes 8 ish till 3pm.
bigger school is usually 7 30am till between 1pm and 2pm (depending on their grade).
and you? what are the school times?

Good morning ladies or afternoon! So far having a great weekend. Yesterday we went to six flags and floated the lazy river!
I forgot to update after my appt on thurs!! Everything looks great!! Didn't hear the HB on the doppler but the doc rolled in the sonogram and there was peanut hiccuping, waving and moving all around! Fluid level looked great also, and doing really good with weight gain. Only gained 2lbs since finding out I am preggo! ( I am a little overweight so I need to watch what I gain)

I'm coming to South Africa Kerian!! Sounds awesome!!
Our kids here go 8:30-3:15-- some vary. My girls go 7:45-2:45/ 7:55-3:00 (middle school).
We then of course run Aug-June-- with a break for Christmas. Then June/July off and 2-3 weeks in August depending on restart times. There's 2-3 days for Thanksgiving and days here and there.

aw jenn, i love U/S pics!!! you making me broody!!
Amber, and almost everyone here has a maid. most people have full time maids. its really affordable. we been trying to save money, but we getting another maid from next month.
but the crime is really bad. its not just stealing, if they break into your house they likely to do a lot worse.
but we all have electric fences and alarm systems, drive with your doors locked and just be wary.
but apart from that, it is the most beautiful country.

Kieran, wow that is crazy. When we went to Dubai, everyone has maids and nannies! There is not a lot of crime at all. I would not mind moving there, it is just soo expensive!
