so Kyla started vomiting last night at 11pm, again around 12 am. then she was up a few more times.
she last vomited at 8am this morning (had a tiny bit of vomit around lunch time).
this morning she suddenly started a fever(around 101 f or 38.6 c).
but lunch time she looked so sick i rushed her to the doc,
by the time we got there her fever was 104 f or 40 c. i sat spongeing her down till the doc came.
he did blood and said her count showed a virus.
he said he is certain its influenza. but influenza doesnt have vomiting. he then said the vomiting was from the fever. but she didnt have a fever till this morning.

he then prescribed an antiviral. by now my guard was up and i was not keen on this idea.
turns out he prescribed tamiflu. that just seems so harsh for a diagnosis i am not even sure of.

i know he has studied for years but my gut says its not influenza. she started with vomiting and apart from fever has no other symptons.

do you think it was bad of me to refuse the meds?

we keeping her home till monday so we can watch the fever.

I definitely don't think you are in the wrong, I likely would have done the same. I'm a major skeptic of doctors for the most part anyway though. I really hope she is feeling better soon!

I say go with your gut - moms usually know best!! If she doesn't seem to get better though you really probably won't want to go back to the same doctor. But, hopefully she'll get better!! HUGS to both of you!! Feel better really soon Kayla!!!!
