Breathing sounds as though it's not a spiritual thing. It's a reflex. However, breathing is the simplest way to connect and center ourselves. Breathing in clears the mind of all the chatter that we usually have going on in our heads, it can calm us in the face of stress and can clear and move energy that may be stagnant.
Try to, at least three times a day, straighten your posture and breathe deeply in (slowly inhaling, and expanding your abdomen rather than your chest) and deeply out. If you can manage this for about a minute at a time during the day, you will notice and increase in your energy and motivation. You may also increase focus and positivity simply by breathing in and out mindfully for this minute at a time.
If time permits and interest allows, try to find time in your day to just mindfully breathe for minutes at a time. It creates a time for your mind to be still and for your body to feel relaxed and at ease.
Trying mindful breathing in moments of stress can assist you with moving through those situations in a much more peaceful state of mind.
A breathing exercise to also try: Breathe in for 5 counts, hold it for 7 counts and breathe out for 8 counts. Three times back to back and you will feel calmer and more grounded.
Another simple one is to count your breaths, which makes you mindful of your breathing and connects you with the energy flow around you. Count four breaths, then start again. 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4. This is also an exercise in "going with the flow". If you lose count it simply means you're going deeper. Don't be annoyed with yourself, just start again at 1.

With last paragraph added by me.
SO glad to have someone else around who's willing to pen an article or two. Thanks honey. And I myself have been using this, too, and feeling more in flow. I definitely recommend it!
