I won't pack anything until I get close to whatever date I ended up getting scheduled on for my c-section. And when I do pack it will probably be a lot lighter than last time since I'm going in for a scheduled surgery versus a natural VBAC labor. I can leave all of the labor aides at home. Just appropriate clothing, toiletries, electronics, and some items for baby. Easy peasy.

I haven't packed a thing and won't until I'm 36 weeks (when I will also install the car seat base), but one thing no one has mentioned that I was thrilled to have with DD was giant underpants. I was not into the disposable ones they give you to wear with the larger than life pads. I packed majorly oversized underpants and my own ultra thin pads to wear as soon as I could. They made us stay 2 days in the hospital bc my water had been broken for so long before I gave birth and I was able to switch the second day, but I always wore my own undies. Oh, the beauty of child birth... haha.

I plan on sneaking in juice and some light food (fruit, etc) just like I did last time. The nurses though I wanted to keep my door shut because I wanted a lot of privacy. I just didn't want them catching me snacking!

Com'on 20+ hours! Yeah, I'm hungry!

I'm DEFINITELY doing the giant underpants this time around!! thanks for reminding me. Last time I was very falsely under the impression that it would be totally fine to just slip on a smaller pair of underwear as soon as she came out (because my stomach would be back to normal right? wrong!!) I was sooo uncomfortable with them squeezing my belly and with the 16 stitches I had, that I ended up wearing the hospital ones.

I probably won't pack until 39 weeks. My mom had to remind me to pack last time and then made me keep it in my car for a few days (minus the toothbrush, etc) until I did go into labor. One thing I learned after my first- do not wear jeans going home! Even the maternity jeans you think are comfy and should fit you now that you don't have the giant belly, it's the crotch that is killer on the drive home. I will be bringing yoga pants as my going home outfit
