Post the names you're playing around with. I like to type/write my ideal names out and talk to non-family members about it so that I can say the name to decide if I like it or not.
Today DH and I discussed the name Rowan William for a boy. Our son's name is Alexander David. I think this new name has a similar feel to it. We've decided that his nickname will be Rory.
This happy agreement may last about a week before one of us will say "But, ya knoooow..." and then suggest a new name, lol.

I haven't bounced around too many names...momma's inuition was right and so I already had a girl name lined up =) DH is on board with it...but he hasn't started calling the baby by name yet...so I'm not sure if he's 100% sold. With DS he started calling him by name at 6mos and that's how I knew it was THE name =)
So we have Viviana Marie(2nd middle name still pending but it will a family oriented name). I loved it at once, still do, but I ran across a 2nd name that is starting to gain my favor: Giana Marie
ack...I didn't think I'd have a name dilemma =P DH hasn't shot it down either but he's mulling that name around WAY harder than Viviana.

We've narrowed it down to two. Anna Sophia and Anna Selena. I've told SO that it's his choice because I had the first name picked out long ago and I genuinely like both of them.
We are kinda in the same boat as Katie: we have an ever growing list of contenders and if we are lucky, we will have named little miss before we go home from the hospital.
So far on the list:
Cecily (DF's least fave, ironically my fave)
Mila
Alaina
Tahlia
Everly
We thought we were pretty set on the middle name being Ann but seeing as we are having a hard time finding names that sound really good with Ann, we have expanded our middle name selection...pretty much we are going backwards in progress lol.
Middle names now:
Ann (DF's grandma)
Joy (my grandma)
Lee (DF's middle name)
My front runners for name combos are Cecily Ann or Mila Joy but, of course, DF has different favorites. His front runners are Everly Ann or Alaina Joy. He has also suggested Anna Lee which would use two of our possible middle names. I like the name, I'm just iffy as to how it sounds with our other kid's names.
Love this idea!! A we pass around names till baby arrives usually and then are LUCKY if the poor child is named within its first 12 hrs haha

We're pretty set on Ezekiel Raymond (a name we've had picked out for 11 yrs now) Raymond is DH's mn and his gpa's 1st name.
