I read somewhere that starting week 27, baby's heartbeat can be heard by ear against tummy. Has anyone had someone try this?

No but with DD at about 30 weeks I could see a pulse in my stomach just when looking at my tummy...and it was more pronounced when I was in the bath.

I read on one of my pregnancy apps that its around 25/26 weeks. We have been trying but so far DH can't hear anything but he usually ends up getting kicked every time he tries.

We've tried too, but DH wasn't sure if he could hear it or not. We'll probably try again soon and see if he can. He said all he could hear was the gurgling of my stomach. He's still trying to feel Arthur's kicks. We could be lying there, watching him kick, DH moves his hand to feel, and he stops moving completely. As soon as DH takes his hand away, we can see the kicks again. I find it kinda funny. Daddy and baby already have a game

I've never heard that. I know you can hear it with a stethoscope by now. I always mean to have my mom get out her stethoscope and try when I am at her house, but I keep forgetting.

Yeah I read about it too so I had DH try and he couldn't hear anything. Maybe we'll try again in a couple of weeks

We haven't tried but Kyle got a kick to the face the other day. I heard Everett's with a fetal scope. It was pretty cool.

I highly doubt you can hear it by ear on the belly. Unless at the very end? Maybe they meant with a stethoscope in your ear.

With my son, I could hear the heartbeat at 27 weeks with my mom's stethoscope. It was hard to find but it was there. We'll be visiting them this weekend, so I will steal it then!

I'm sure that means with a stethoscope or fetoscope!! Or else other people just have MUCH better ears than I do. Maybe if the baby was in JUUUUST the right position...

You actualy can hear the baby heart beat on the outside.My husband said he could hear this babies just two days ago. With my daughter he could hear her heart beat on the outside. So i know its possible.
