Personal opinion, really. Some tell right away, others wait quite awhile.
Last pregnancy, I told just my circle of my best friends right in the beginning. Then I ended up telling everyone else soon after. I ended up miscarrying at 12 weeks. Honestly, I have no regrets or remorse, I'm glad the world knew. I found the support I got from friends and family to be amazing, and it helped me get through it. I think I'll do the same this time. God forbid. I won't wait until 12 weeks like most do, I wanna shout it from the roof tops.
We waited until 13 weeks with Elizabeth to tell ANYONE (except BFFs), and it's what felt right at the time. This time, after trying for so, so long, we want to shout it from the rooftops. The BFFs know, family will know at 9 weeks after our ultrasound, the rest of the world at 13 or even 18!
We are going to try to wait until Thanksgiving to tell our families. Other than that, only DH and one really good friend knows. Oh, and my therapist.
I'll probably tell my local mommy friends pretty soon so they know what's going on. Not sure when though. It's hard to avoid seeing them since we have tons of play dates with my three year old during the week. I'll probably let it slip next week.
I did the big Fb announcement after 12 week ultrasound. My mom guessed right away and told everyone she knew. I plan on waiting until 12 weeks again if no one guesses this weekend when i dont drink at october fest
