Everyone who has kept gender a surprise until delievery, how did you do it? My DH and I talked about not finding out, but after having found out with my last 4 I don't even know how to not know. I mean first, we will have to not look at any ultrasounds after 14 weeks. I've grown all the body parts and have seen dozens and dozens of scans, I would certainly know the parts if I saw them. I had a friend who didn't want to know, but when she told the tech that, she could still hear her type the word B O Y. I love the idea of waiting, just trying to figure out the logistics.

I'm no help. We have found out with every single one of ours.
I'm thinking it would be fun to keep it a surprise from everyone else, but I would rather know before hand so I can prepare.

It is HARD but SOOOOO worth it to get the surprise in the delivery room! I'm wondering why that tech even typed in "boy" if they didn't want to know!! It's not like the doc needs to know. Blah. I just told my doc (she does the ultrasounds) to not go near the goods when she was doing everything. I had looked at a ton of ultrasounds too, and I knew when she went past the "money shot"....it was super fast cuz she was trying to measure the femur. But for that split second I was like "OMG! I saw! It's a girl!!" So I was sure it was girl after that. Nope. I was super surprised when my hubby said "it's a BOY!" in the delivery room. We were hoping for a boy so it was extra special. If you can stay strong during the anatomy scan, you're home free. There usually aren't any more u/s after that!

I'm just holding tight to imagining how I'm going to feel when I hear "it's a ____". That's the only way I'll be able to get through it!

With one we just told them at the scan that we didn't want to know. She was a surprise. With a few of the babies we didn't have an ultrasound at all, and with the others we found out. Yeah, from experience with doing both, I much prefer not knowing, I think it is worth it if you can manage it.

We did ultrasounds every 2 weeks with our first because he was measuring ahead and they were concerned. Even then we told the techs we didnt want to know and when they past over the goods shot - they went really fast or told me to look away for a second.

We just had to make sure to tell the tech each time because they get so excited to tell you. LOL

My last was a high risk.too and I had ultrasounds every 2 weeks. I just know I will work hard to not know and one of them will do something dumb and ruin it. And everyone feels like they were well prepared for either? I am also afraid of feeling a moment of disappointment if he turns out to be a boy.We have 3 boys and everyone wants a girl. That would break my heart, if we were sad for even a sec at delievery. I guess there would be that moment in ultrasound if they said the same thing. This really helping, thanks ladies!

I don't THINK I'll be finding out. Just ask that they don't give you an ultrasound that would reveal the sex!
