I have so many questions about how this pregnancy and child birth will go. I have a physical disability. Called Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type III. I do not have to use a wheel chair. I can walk, but my muscles are very weak. I am worried about how my body is going to handle being pregnant. How is giving birth going to go? Even when the baby is here, how hard is it going to be for me to care for a child? I know I can do it. I just think this is going to be very hard.
Does anyone else have similar obstacles? I would to hear about your previous pregnancies or any advice you might have.
I have a few things going on.
Type 1 diabetes, CFIDS and fibromyalgia.
I don't have too much advice. I just take things from day to day.
Your best bet is to talk to your doctor. I will be seeing a perinatologist.

I don't have any real experience, but I think you could totally give birth without a problem as long as you're allowed to move around and get in a position where gravity can help you out, like squatting. Definitely best to talk to your healthcare provider, but I wouldn't worry so much about it.
Eliza Rose, born 6/9/10 ...and getting a little brother for her birthday! Baby Henry Wilder, due 6/7/13
I have RR Multiple Sclerosis. Different Diagnosis of course, but I definitely have a lot of muscle weakness and concerns about pregnancy. So far my doctor has just shown concern about when I am getting into my 3rd trimester... I will have to be very careful because of the extra weight and shifting center of balance. I also will be having a c-section because I didn't have the muscle strength for pushing! So there are some concerns my way also. I hope that you have a healthy pregnancy despite your challenges. I will keep you in my thoughts!
