Hi Ladies!

Next Friday I was invited to a co-workers party. Normally I would be the first one there And to complicate things more, this is a new job as of Aug. If I go and don't drink, I think everyone will know. If I go and try to have "mocktails" I think someone may catch me.

What would you do?! I'm only in my sixth week and considered "high risk" so we don't want to share with co-workers this soon.

Thanks for your input!

You can told drinks but not actually drink them. Excuse yourself to the bathroom pour some out. Idk we don't go to parties unless its a kids birthday but that's all I got.

Order a sprite or tonic water with lime. It'll look like a gin & tonic?

I have the same problem! I have my bff's wedding rehearsal dinner tonight and wedding sat night. But there I can order a soda with lime (I normally drink vodka tonic w lime) Going to a house would be tricky though. Are you supposed to bring your own drinks? I would either bring something or say you have something big the next morning you don't want to be hungover for. If this is a newer job I'm assuming the people don't know you very well yet so it might be normal for you not to drink. This wedding stuff for me is going to be tricky cause these are my friends and they know I like to drink and dance lol

Before I knew I was pg I had my family over and we always open a bottle of wine. Luckily my 8 month old tried grabbing it & it spilled so I didn't drink anything & nobody questioned it. Maybe you could be a clutz??? Lol. I'm not sure what I'd do. I'm hoping for no family get togethers until I'm ready to spill the beans.

I take meds that I can't drink on so no one questions me when I don't. When they do I just tell them I have a little bit of a headache and the alcohol makes it worse.. because it does for me.
