DH and I are getting ready to go to our first doctor appointment to confirm the pregnancy! We have the u/s and then the appointment with the midwife. Really hoping we get to hear the heartbeat today, and it's not too early. I'm really super nervous! I'll update y'all when we get back!!
Just got back from the appointment (and lunch), and things look good! We're not as far along as we thought, only 5 weeks 6 days, so it was REALLY early. Everything looks really good, the baby's heart rate is a little low, but the midwife insists that it's normal. Since we came in SO much earlier than we thought, we're getting another ultrasound at our next appointment on November 9th. We had to have an internal ultrasound, and boy, was that funky. I also learned I have a fibroid on my uterus, but it's on the outside so it shouldn't be too much of a concern.
Wow, Congrats on a heartbeat!
I've gone in early (before 7 weeks) and they weren't able to see anything. A week later and then they were. They have always been slow starting out too.
My last baby, I went in at 7 weeks and was told I was really 6 weeks and the heart rate was like 84.

We're also going in today to confirm the pregnancy...I think today is just a urine test and probably some paperwork as we didn't have to schedule an appointment...they'll probably schedule us a proper first appointment, I think they like to wait til your further along.
Glad your appointment went well! so exciting!
