Can pregnant women get flu shots? I teach high school and some of my students are refusing to get a flu shot at the clinic they do here at school. This concerns me. Can I at least get one to protect myself and baby?

I was told today by the nurse that they strongly encourage pregnant women to get one. So they'll give me one next week at my ultrasound visit.

Yes, just tell them you're pregnant. They had a preservative-free shot for pregnant women when I got one with DD.

Yes, what everyone else has said.
I won't be getting one as I have other conditions that the flu shot makes worse. I make sure everyone around me gets one though.

I have never had a flu shot. My first OB appt is on Monday. The flu shot issue will be brought up then. I'll probably do whatever my doctor recommends.
