Hi!

I am new here for the reasons in my subject line. Husband and I have been married almost 2 years now and began trying in August. I have PCOS but work so hard to be healthy and fit. Doctor told me three weeks ago during breast exam that I would need to go ahead and get on clomid because "its just not going to happen because you don't ovulate". So we have been discussing when to get on it, etc.

Last night at the grocery I picked up some tests. Husband rolled his eyes because a month ago the test was negative. Took it and what do ya know? Four more later, still saying yes. I was prompted to pick these up because I just haven't felt "right" in several weeks. Getting up to use the bathroom 2-3 times/night, feeling nauseated during the day, etc. Just knew something was up, hard to explain.

I have a million different feelings with the strongest of them being excitement! I've dealt with cysts rupturing and irregular cycles so I do have reservations based from fear.

Calling the doctor at 8 to see if they can get me in before my scheduled pap smear next week. I am confused on timeline of how far along I might be because of irregular periods. Last period was August 16, so based on calculators I could be anywhere from 6-8 weeks.

Sorry for the long post but I am limited in telling no one (except my husband and best friend) and needed to discuss with the experts

All experiences or advice welcome!

Thank you, everyone! As the day has gone on I have continued to get more excited as the realization sets in. I did get an appointment with the doctor on Thursday for ultrasound so I am praying all goes well! According to the due date calculators (which could be wrong because I have irregular periods) I could be in my 9th week. If that is the case I find it insane that I am just finding out--but also kind of wonderful since I would be that much closer to getting through the first trimester.

Have not enjoyed the nausea! Is everyone else still battling this as well as the constant need to have to run to the restroom?

Welcome! It'd be awesome to find out at 9 weeks! With my first, morning sickness kicked in at 7 weeks and lifted like a cloud at exactly 13 weeks. Hopefully you're that much closer to being done feeling yucky! The constant peeing never stopped for me, even after having my daughter. LOL good luck with that one.

LOL, yeah I have a feeling that part isn't going to let up. I am going to have to get pre-tee creative with my schedule considering I am in outside medical sales and travel all over my state! I had to stop at a gas station to use the restroom today for just an HOUR drive from my house! I used to be able to hold off for HOURS before I would stop. I know, that isn't good for you but if you've ever been in a traveling job you understand the want to continue driving to get home!

I am such a newbie to all of this. I just read yet another thing that I use daily and will have to discontinue--my new skincare set. I recently purchased retinol-x and read online it isn't safe. I wish there was some long masterlist of everything you shouldn't do during a pregnancy that is outside of the common sense realm. I have been googling just about everything I do and every product I own to see if I am safe.

I always got a "master list", if you will, from my OB on my first appt. But yeah.. it is a lot of research, especially when you are pregnant for the first time or it has been a while.
