The team green thread got me thinking...I'm too much of a control freak & planner to not know what I'm having! lol I need to know if I should buy pink & purple cloth diapers, or cute girly outfits, or if I can just relax knowing we have SO much boy stuff around the house! I do envy the ladies who have the strength to wait it out until the very end!
We're going to have a gender reveal party, with cake pops that will be pink or blue so when the guests bite into them, everyone will find out! I'm excited! Has anyone else thought of doing one? I know they are pretty big these days. I have a whole pinterest board dedicated to it! ha ha Even DH said he would wait to find out until the party and be surprised then! I'm going to be the only one who knows, since I'll be making the cake pops & party planning!
That would be fun to do, but I think we're Team Green. You will have fun getting ready for your party! I've heard of people who have the doctor write down the gender and put it in an envelope. Then they give it the cake decorator at a store. So then EVERYONE finds out at the party when you cut into the cake and either have pink or blue icing inside!
That does sound like a lot of fun, but I think once we find out, we will tell everyone when we get the chance to do so. We have family far around the globe so having a party would be a bit challenging. I do wish everyone lived closer so we were able to do something like this, as I think this is a great idea. Good luck and hope you have lots of fun doing it.
I don't think we'll have a party, because none of our family is close. But, I do have an idea that I want to do. I told my husband last night & he thought it was dumb, but I'm probably going to do it anyway.
I want to have them write it down at the doctor (so we don't know) and then take it to a party place and have them fill a cardboard box with either pink or blue balloons. I want to video (and possibly have my photographer friend take pictures) us opening up the box & all the balloons coming out. Then we can send the video to friends & family or post on fb so everyone gets to see our reactions.
