So as we have had several threads about what names for our little jellybeans. I thought it would be fun to share some unfortunate names we have heard of! I worked in a nursery and I was always amazed!

I will start:

Le-a: the "-" is NOT silent, lol. Pronounced "Le-dash-a"

Armand Hammer

Alqua Hall

Pleazure (poor little's girls parents have SUCH high hopes for her, don't they )

Kalix Bundt (This is my cousin's son's name... it wasn't intentional, but rather unfortunate actually lol)

Bynjymyne--pronounced Benjamin

I know a Sandy Brook who has a son named Rocky Brook. She married into the name.

In the nicu there were 2 twin boys named Boya and Boyb.

There's a Messiah at my girls' daycare. No pressure for that kid. Although who am I to judge. People can barely pronounce my girls' names!

that's hysterical! I don't know anyone IRL with a crazy name like that, however, I'm not a fan of the fruit names...Apple, Lemon...

and on a side note, your mention of jellybeans...June Jellybeans sounds totally cute!!

I used to work for WIC and there were twin boys named Orangejello and Lemonjello. Pronounced or-ON-gel-o and le-MON-gel-o. Apparently that's all the mom wanted during pregnancy?? I dunno. Idiot.

Another girl named her son Anon'mus. He had like 4 middle names that were somewhat normal so I figured he'd go by one of those. But 2 years later she's still yelling at him "ANON'MUS!! Get over here!!!" Poor kid. Did she not know who the father was?? Sad. Sad.

I used to go to school with a girl name Iona Johnson. I also had a good friend named Sunny Berry. My nieces names are Mara and Riah, I always end up referring to them both as Mariah purely by accident!

Popping in from another board, but the Le-a just caught my eye. You aren't in North Carolina by any chance, are you? We vacation there every summer, and some friends of the family have a granddaughter who was talking about a girl named Le-a, and how the mother would say, "And the dash don't be silent." I popped into your thread from the home page thinking it would be cute to see what some of them are, but I couldn't believe when I saw that one!!

I knew a professor Dr. Akin who married a Dr. Bohner & hyphened her name (pronounced like "aching boner").
Also the best man in our wedding was named "Justin Case"
There was a couple from my school who got married. . . their last names were Boring & Bland. I can't imagine what their life is like, lol!
As an educator, I've seen a lot of names I would consider strange, too many to list.

I knew someone named Richard Wacker.... a lot of kids called him Dick Wacker to tease him.

I also have a friend who knew someone from her HS who named her kid Latrina.... I guess she's the female toilet!

Oh, forgot to add. I had a teacher in High school who had his masters degree. His last name was Bates, so he insisted we called him Master Bates.
