My OB office just called and I failed my 1 hr glucose test from last week I had GD with DD so it's no surprise. Now I have to go for the 3 hr test. UGH, just what I want to do sit in the lab for 4 hrs of my day. I was really hoping by some act of God I wouldn't have GD this time, but I guess I'm out of luck. I do everything right, I always eat healthy, I excersice 5 days a week, I'm not overweight. I don't know why my body reacts this way to pregnancy. One good thing out of it, it does give me some reassurance that my little bean is in there growing. I know I don't have blood sugar problems when I'm not pregnant. I was just tested a few weeks before my BFP. Well, No more desserts or carbs for me for the next 7 monthsPlease cross your fingers that I can some how pass the 3 hr test!!!

Wow, they tested you really early. I have type 1 diabetes so I've never had to do the glucose test. I hope you pass the 3hr one.

Yeah they said since I had it last time they wanted to test right away, and again at 22 wks if I passed now. I ate alot of carbs for breakfast that morning, so I'm hoping that maybe that had something to do with it. I didn't know they would be testing so early.

I would request a hemoglobin a1c instead the 1 hour has a high failure rate. I hope the 3 hour comes back better. I bet the high carbs before the test had something to do with it.

I had my one hour glucose test done today as well (first pregnancy, but I'm overweight enough that they wanted to do one early), hoping for the best.

Good luck! It sucks, but at least you know what you're doing since you've gone through it before.

I'm lurking from Feb. 2013 DDC. I tested really early for GD because of a strong family history of diabetes. I failed the one hour test miserably so I had to do the 3 hour test (fasting). I passed that one with flying colors!
