My OB office just called and I failed my 1 hr glucose test from last week I had GD with DD so it's no surprise. Now I have to go for the 3 hr test. UGH, just what I want to do sit in the lab for 4 hrs of my day. I was really hoping by some act of God I wouldn't have GD this time, but I guess I'm out of luck. I do everything right, I always eat healthy, I excersice 5 days a week, I'm not overweight. I don't know why my body reacts this way to pregnancy. One good thing out of it, it does give me some reassurance that my little bean is in there growing. I know I don't have blood sugar problems when I'm not pregnant. I was just tested a few weeks before my BFP. Well, No more desserts or carbs for me for the next 7 monthsPlease cross your fingers that I can some how pass the 3 hr test!!!
Yeah they said since I had it last time they wanted to test right away, and again at 22 wks if I passed now. I ate alot of carbs for breakfast that morning, so I'm hoping that maybe that had something to do with it. I didn't know they would be testing so early.
I'm lurking from Feb. 2013 DDC. I tested really early for GD because of a strong family history of diabetes. I failed the one hour test miserably so I had to do the 3 hour test (fasting). I passed that one with flying colors!
