I seriously have a fear of getting sick and throwing up. I had the flu last year (was tested positive for it) and I would much rather go through that (it didn't involve throwing up) than getting a 12 or 24 bug. With having kids in school I know my chances of getting it are higher but what really drives me INSANE is when people know they have sick kids and still send them to school or take them out in public!

I was picking my youngest up from school today and while waiting in line one of the mom's says that her younger kid was throwing up all yesterday and now she felt sick too. Its rare that a household is hit with a bug and not everyone gets it and she still sent her older kid to school. Im sure Im in the minority about thinking of keeping that kid home but its preschool, its not like they are gonna miss a big test and I would rather not get other people sick.

Or I hate when I go to the library with my girls and parents take their sick kids that they kept home from school there to play and cough and get germs on everything.

LOL did you like my rant ?? Im well aware Im nuts - but that is seriously how much I hate throwing up. My husband can get sick and he literally only throws up one time and is better in a few hours. Me, Im down for the count for days and throw up and get dry heaves and its just a mess.

I am the same way. Honestly, I prefered H1N1 Swine Flu to getting the throw up yucks for 2 days... and I hate hate hate when parents make their sick kids go to school. Honestly, even if they are in grade school and they are going to miss a test, is it really worth the kid's embarrassment when they puke all over themselves in front of everyone? I think not...

Honestly, I was a kid who faked being sick a lot. I know most kids do... but my mom let me stay home and I just wasn't allowed to do ANYTHING. It sucked lol. But eww, I would rather let that happen to my kids than the relentless teasing that happens when they get sick at school

Omg i hate when parents take their kids out when sick. We had a bunch of kids get hand foot n mouth cuz parents kept taking sick kids in public....so my daughter got the rash 3 times and itd pop up every time we took her out after she was better. I hate it!!! And eww no way would i want H1N1. My stepson got that 3 years ago n he got a major fever that spiked overnite n made him have seizures. And his whole body hurt so bad he needed pain meds. That was terrifying to watch in your kid...and i sure wouldnt want it. Yuck. Hand sanitizer anyone?

Im so glad Im not alone. Maybe when kids are older its possible for not everyone to get sick. But my girls still sneak a drink out of each others cups or put things in their mouths that they other did so its just easier to spread germs when they are younger.

This mom stays at home too so its not like she had to miss work - I went to high school with her actually. The whole time she was telling me all this and how she felt sick Im thinking in my head "you better not have just infected the whole class you idiot!" She even took her daughter to a doctor who told her it was a virus.

I am a SAHM and I dont take my DD in public when shes sick cuz thats how it spreads. And the only time DD gets sick is usually after a rare day spent shopping. Some people just dont think!

Well duh no one wants it, hahaha. I just hate throwing up so much, I personally prefer the pain :/. That is pretty sad huh? It sucked Sorry your son got so sick. Seizures are incredibly scary!! I actually got it the worst of the family--my daughter kicked its butt, no problems. I felt like death for about 5 days... The scariest illness my daughter got was RSV, from a kid at preschool and spent a week in the hospital because she was having trouble breathing. To a normal healthy person it is like a bad cold, but it can cause a lot of problems for weaker immune systems!

I get sick a lot because I have two separate auto immune disorders, so there isn't much I can do to prevent it. I usually just have to stay in my house and away from others for most of the winter season. It gets very lonely
