Ugh, I have chronic headaches that I was taking medication for before I got pregnant. Of course, all my meds are contraindicated during pregnancy and I can't see the doctor for two more weeks?

I will be the first to admit, I don't do well with pain and have opted for medication always so I have no idea about natural tricks to help deal with them..

Does anyone have any suggestions? I would appreciate it!

I wish I did, I have a headache right now. Chronic headaches would suck! All I know is Tylenol while preggo but that does nothing for me. I wish I had an idea for you!

Coke helps. There's something with the caffeine and they syrup that if you drink a can it will help relieve your headache. Since Tylenol is safe while pregnant, you can combine tylenol with coke and that should help. That's how I get rid of my headaches, I'm not big on medicines, so I try to do things naturally.

Lots and lots of water can sometimes help me.
Or laying down with my eyes closed. Not sleeping, just resting. In a dark room.
When all else fails, someone giving my shoulders and neck a squeeze works a lot to take the edge off, at least.

Thanks for some suggestions guys... We have coke in the house so maybe I will try that and convince Alex to give me a shoulder rub when he gets home (as if he doesn't already do enough for me, poor guy) to see if that helps. Grr, I wish tylenol helped.. but it doesn't

This is going to sound weird, I'm sure, but it always works for me.. Get two little squares of newspaper, dip them in Vicks vaporub and stick one to each temple, Vicks side down. Then lay down and try to rest for 10-15 minutes. Never fails for me.

I had to take prescription medicines for migraines prior to pregnancy. I took Topamax and Nortriptyline on a regular basis. But, since pregnant my perinatal doctor prescribed me Fioricet. It is not a migraine med but a headache medicine. It has caffeine and Tylenol. My doctor said it's about all that's safe for headaches in pregnancy other than plain Tylenol. However, plain Tylenol does not help my headaches but the Fioricet does.
I guess you could just drink Coke and take a Tylenol like Stephanie suggested. Those are pretty much the ingredients. I have only taken a few of the Fioricets during the last 3 weeks though. I only take them when my headaches are absolutely unbearable.

I have taken Fiorcet before.. I didn't know it was safe. I will talk to my doctor about it. Thanks.
