Well, between the elections and my ultrasound today is a day riddled with anxiety!
But we are off to a great start!
Today I had a follow up ultrasound, because the initial one showed a blood clot beside the baby (can't remember the technical name for it!) Doctor expected it to reabsorb and go away by itself and asked me to come back in today, two weeks later, to make sure it had.
Well, the disappointing news is that it hasn't. It is still there, same size, same place, etc. But the great news is that this baby is totally not concerned with it, and is growing exactly like s/he should be, measuring at 10w3d. We will look at it again in 2 more weeks to see what's going on with this blood clot.
I am relieved, and glad to be able to move forward! I am really starting to feel "pregnant".. My body has changed SO much, laying on my stomach is starting to get uncomfortable, and I feel less nauseous and more...big! So, having confirmation that s/he is growing well is icing on the cake
Very glad to hear baby is growing as s/he should My bestie had the same situation with her last pregnancy and thank goodness the clot went away and she now has a healthy baby boy! I pray the same happens for you!
