Right after I made my spotting post, I started bleeding bright red actually through my PJ's. Called my OB and the on call doctor told us to head to ER. Did an exam which showed cervix closed, but said there was some discharge??? that could mean possible m/c. Went for an ultrasound and she asked if I knew about there being two??? Heard a beautiful heartbeat at 144bpm and measured 7w0d. Unfortunately it looks there were two (they were not certain about the other) and one is viable.
Dr. said I could very well carry the other one, but also risk losing that one too. Calling my OB in the morning and hopefully she will see me. Lots of terrible cramping and still bleeding pretty heavy :-(

Very sorry for your loss. I had a friend who had the same thing happen and she did carry the remaining baby for a normal, healthy pregnancy.

Oh no, I'm sorry you are going through this. I hope everything is fine with the remaining baby. My neighbor also had lost one twin and the remaining one was born perfectly healthy. Sending prayers and hugs your way.

Sending prayers for the viable baby. I am so sorry that you lost a twin, that is heartbreaking I too have known someone to lose a twin and carry one to term, I met her in the NICU when I had my set of twins. Don't lose faith!

I hope it slows down and everything is fine. I've heard of it happening. It's called vanishing twin syndrome. It's a good sign your cervix is closed. I'm sorry you lost one, but pray everything will be fine with your other bean.
