I know this isn't really a huge deal but I am such a planner that it is bothering me!

I had always planned to announce to my daughter next Wednesday night and have her announce the next day, Thanksgiving, to both sides of the family. That way I would be sure that everything was alright (an u/s and regular appt between now and then) and she wouldn't have any time to spill the beans to anyone because she would only know one night and then announce.

Well, now I have an u/s tomorrow at 4 and the only way for DH to go is to have her go too. So, I don't want her to just find out at the doctor's office or in the car from just me (DH will have to meet us there) so we are thinking of announcing to her tonight. The only thing, is I am worried in the back of my mind, what if everything is not alright? I haven't heard the heartbeat or had an ultrasound yet. It would kill me if I tell her and then something is wrong and had I just waited I would have spared her that pain. Then, on the other hand I think I should just take a leap of faith, I have no reason to think anything is wrong. I am taking this pregnancy so much more cautiously since my last one. When I was preggo with DD, I announced to family like that weekend after I found out! Since having an early miscarriage in August, I am so much more cautious.

Then, the other question is can she keep a secret for a week? Should we let her announce this weekend to my family because they are the ones she might see? Then announce to DH's family on Thanksgiving? UGH, why am I making this so difficult!?

Any advice??

I just figured it out!! I called the office on the chance that they were open today (I never thought about that when I scheduled the appt) because I have the day off for Veteran's Day. They were able to get me in a 1:00!! My daughter spent the night at her grandparent's house last night she we can pick her up after so it is perfect! I feel sooo much better.
