Yay!! I know you are excited! Can't wait to hear about it!
I have one on Tuesday, my third...I actually had 2 scheduled this week, but they realized combining them together was a good idea . This is my first trimester screening, and another follow up on the blood clot that seems to be loving this little babe! Hopefully we will see it shrinking some, as the last time it showed absolutely NO CHANGE
I will be 12w6d, kind of excited about this one, seems to be a neat time to see the baby, more than a blob on the screen, but not far enough to be fully developed! I had a dream that we were told the gender at the ultrasound... wishful thinking!

Nuchal translucency. It's an ultrasound that they do to measure the fluid at the back of the neck to determine risk of Down Syndrome, and a couple other chromosome abnormalities. It's done from 9 to 13 weeks.
I declined to have one done, but I told my doc that the only appealing thing about it was a 2nd ultrasound...since my first was at 6 weeks and was just a blob. She said she could do a "just for fun" ultrasound at my next appt--which is tomorrow!!! I'll be a day short of being 11 weeks. Yippie!!!
I'm not sure if my insurance covers it either, but it really doesn't matter because I have a high deductible plan and will be paying for it out of pocket anyway. I'm already broke over the medical bills, so what's another couple hundred?
My deductible is $750, so I'd probably be paying for it anyway. I do want to have it done, though, because the baby's dad's aunt has down's. I know it's not always a good indicator, but it'll help me decide if I want an amnio done.
