I finally wanted to take the time to introduce myself! My name is Emily, and I'm 31 years old. My DH and I have been married 6 years and have a little boy named Anthony who will turn 2 in January. I'm due June 8, 2013 with our newest little bundle.
We tried for three years to have Anthony and finally concieved using Injectables and IUI. He was born at 37 weeks and spent 2 weeks in the NICU due to under developed lungs and a small case of superventricle tachyacardia. Today he's a happy and healthy little boy who gets into everything!
We started trying for another baby in February of this year, again with the injectables and IUI. We conceived on the first cycle, but I lost the baby at 4 weeks 5 days. At that point, emotionally I wasn't ready to go through that again, so DH and I decided to take a few months off and let my body and mind heal. We ended up conceiving on our own again in mid August, but i had a lot of bleeding early own and miscarried again at 5 weeks 1 day.
We were "supposed" to take some time off per my doctor before trying again, and I didn't think much of it. I truly thought it was a fluke we had gotten pregnant ourselves anyways. However, in October I couldn't shake the feeling of nausea and thought I'd take a pregnancy test just to rule it out. Lo and behold, it was positive. I was already 6.5 weeks along.
I had my appointment today, and was able to see the baby and the heartbeat again, and finally feel comfortable letting this be real and sharing it with everyone! I'm really excited to be part of this DDC!!
