For those of you who don't know the navy advancement system is different than other branches. You get points for time in rate, time in service, evals, and you take an exam. Now you can pass and not advance we call it a PNA. Each rank and rate each test cycle will advance a certain amount of people. Some rates are easier to advance than others, and some ranks are harder. We found out today that my husband is now an E6 or a petty officer 1st class! I am so proud of him. They made 96 new first classes in his rate and he is one of them!

Congrats! My DHs work center(he's on shore duty) had a lot of new people make E6. Most of the time it's really hard but this time around for his rate it was easier. My DH made it last time and we are SOOO looking for to that pay increase starting! It is such a huge jump from E5 to E6.
