This morning we told our daughter!! We were going to tell her tonight but decided we wanted to bring her to the appointment I had at 3 so we ended up telling her before DH went to work. I am really glad because she took a while to process it and she had all day to ask questions (we make like 5 pies together today!). She is very excited and going to wear her big sister shirt to announce it at Thanksgiving tomorrow!
At my appointment they said they were going to try to hear the heartbeat but to not be nervous if they couldn't. It took a while and I was kinda freaked but she finally found it! It only lasted a few minutes but DD got to hear it.
She asked about if I wanted to just to bloodwork for the Down's Syndrome or have the u/s. I decided to have the u/s even though it wouldn't change my decision. I just figured another chance for them to check on baby. The only thing is after I left I started worrying, is that going to cost a lot for me to have that? Is it covered by insurance just like any other ultrasound? I didn't even think to ask about that. Do any of you know?
How exciting! I have not been brave enough to bring DD with I think the next time my hubby can be there we will go as a family. Sorry can't help you with the insurance issue I would call your customer service # and ask so you don't keep worrying.
