It was the first holiday without my dad, and I missed him terribly. SO and his son went to visit family and then to the Polar Express in the mountains, so they were gone. One brother, though he has removed himself from the family, had a new baby on Wednesday, and asked that no one come to see the baby (that's a long story), so they didn't come...
It was sad in many ways. That evening, the kids went to their dad's for the weekend, and the rest of my family went OOT, so I have been alone for the rest of it, which was nice for the first 2 hours, and then got very lonely . I think I am ready to go back to work!

It was okay. I hosted. My DH was amazing and helped me with everything. He has been SO SUPPORTIVE and I am really really lucky. My mom lives down the street and knew I was struggling with morning sickness while I was trying to clean and cook all day, she offered to host it at her house so I wouldn't have a mess to clean when it was done. Which is probably the nicest thing ever.
So I cooked here at my house and everyone carried all the food I made down to her place.
My soon to be 5 year old was a straight heathen, throwing tantrums all day. My 11 year old, was well behaved.
I got a little weepy eating my great grandmothers apple pie (that I baked). Shes been dead for 10 years now, but we were very close.
Our holiday was great...we are actually still in Oklahoma visiting my family. We told everyone we are expecting on Thanksgiving and it went wonderfully. We are going to the OU vs OSU game today and then heading home tomorrow.
We had a great holiday. It's just the two of us, all of our family lives in different states, so I cooked a formal Thanksgiving meal for just the two of us. The rest of the time was spent playing video games and watching movies
