I try not to be a whiney butt about my sickness, but if my last two pregnancies are any indicators, I am going to have morning sickness all day for the next 30 weeks.
My DH works second shift so its me and the boys all day/night and I am supposed to cook dinner...I usually do because I like knowing what my kids are eating instead of processed food, fast food or food out a can.
However, I am finding making dinner increasingly difficult with how sick I am. So I was going to ask my husband to help me cook during the day and make meals I can freeze and then just heat and serve in the evening.
Other than lasagna, do you have any recipes like this you could share?
You can make meatloaf and bake in muffin pan. Freeze them and get out how many you need.
Soups & chili usually freeze well.
There's LOTS of crockpot meals that you can mix up, freeze, then dump in crockpot when you want.
check out "freezers meals" on pinterest.
Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4
I just heard this awesome recipe today for easy pizza. Its not heat and serve but you could turn it into that or make it in the day and bake it later.
Its Nann bread (I tried the garlic kind today and it was yummy) topped with a good jar pizza sauce and fresh cheeses and toppings. Bake in the oven until preferred doneness. It was super yummy. My co-worker has two busy teenage/tween boys and she said they make this once a week because it makes individual(pretty big) or two person sharable size pizzas and it is really fast.
I do a baked ziti that is on the hunts recipes website that's only 4 ingredients. I've made and frozen quesadillas many times. If you are interested in any crockpot recipes, let me know. Most are literally just throwing in and not worrying about it.
